ASAPA, the Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts, is a non-profit organization created to be the legal and financial backbone of Animethon. It was formed under the Societies Act of Canada as a democracy, and exists as such; 7 representatives are elected from the core membership body, who form its executive party. This party is charged with ensuring the financial and political security of Animethon and other smaller events, among other things.
